Gaybe Moore is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Oberlin College within the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on microbiology and molecular mechanisms of social identity in biological systems. He earned his BA from Oberlin College in 2015 and a PhD from Princeton University in 2021, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
- Current courses: Organismal Biology (BIOL 100), Seminar: Molecular Mechanisms of Social Identity (BIOL 413), Introduction to Global Health (BIOL 135), and Immunity and Pathogenesis (BIOL 338).
- Research highlights include studies on Caulobacter crescentus, a bacterium known for producing the world’s stickiest superglue as a biofilm, with implications for environmental and biomedical applications.
