Frida Andréasson is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Work, Linnaeus University, with a PhD in Health Sciences. She holds a multidisciplinary background in sociology and social work, with extensive experience in social services research and development. Her academic roles include teaching sociology, family perspectives, and supervising student essays. She previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University’s Medical Faculty (2021-2023).
Research Focus: Her work centers on informal caregiving, ICT-supported care, family sociology, and migration studies. Key projects include the EU-funded INNOVAGE and ICT4SelfCare initiatives, focusing on aging populations and digital health solutions. She co-developed an online support program for heart failure caregivers and currently evaluates its efficacy through randomized controlled trials. She collaborates on Nordic projects exploring familial impacts of heart disease and Takotsubo syndrome experiences.
Professional Activities: Co-supervisor of three doctoral students (Social Work and Caring Sciences). Serves on FORSA Småland board (2024-), Linnaeus University’s Social Work education council (2023-), and the National Graduate School on Aging and Health (SWEAH) board (2021-2023). Active in research groups like Ethnographic Forum and Social Work, Disability, and Ageing (SODA).
Publications: Over 20 peer-reviewed articles (2015–2025), focusing on caregiver burden, digital health interventions, family dynamics in chronic illness, and ICT co-design. Recent work emphasizes qualitative studies on heart disease’s familial impact and migrant health challenges.
