Frida Skog is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, Umeå University. Her research focuses on moralizing discourse analysis in media, family dynamics' economic impacts, and crisis management pedagogy. She is affiliated with the Critical Studies of Race and Gender research group and leads the 'Green transformation and sustainable working life' project (2022–2024).
Her work examines societal responses to crises like the COVID-19 pandemic through media narratives, evaluates long-term effects of childhood experiences on labor market outcomes, and explores family structures' role in economic mobility. She has published in journals like Social Science and Medicine and Social Indicators Research.
