Dr. Frederick Marlton is a Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Faculty of Science. His research focuses on structure-property relationships in functional materials, particularly ferroelectric materials for solid-state cooling. He holds a BEng and BSci from the Australian National University (2013), and a PhD from the University of New South Wales (2018). Prior to UTS, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University (2018–2020) and the University of Sydney (2020–2022), specializing in total scattering techniques to study material disorder and local structures.
