Kristiaan Temst

Prof. Kristiaan Temst is a full professor in experimental physics at KU Leuven, Belgium, and currently serves as the head of the Quantum Solid State Physics research unit. He previously chaired the Department of Physics and Astronomy and holds a part-time appointment at the micro-electronics research center imec, also in Leuven.

• Research Focus: MBE-growth, structural characterization, and magnetic, superconducting, ferroelectric, and vibrational properties of thin films, nanowires, and nanoparticles.
• Leadership Roles: Chair of the ESFRI Physical Sciences and Engineering strategy working group and active participation in beamtime allocation review committees.
• Facility Expertise: Regular user of synchrotron, neutron, muon, and ion beam facilities.
