معرفی
Piet Van Duppen is a Professor at KU Leuven in the Department of Physics and Astronomy since 1998. His career includes roles such as ISOLDE physics group leader (1993–1995) and senior lecturer at KU Leuven. He holds a PhD in Physics (1985) and habilitation from KU Leuven (1992).
Research Interests: Experimental nuclear physics, radioactive ion beams, nuclear structure, laser spectroscopy, and nuclear clocks. Focus areas include neutron-rich isotopes, charge radii measurements, beta decay studies, and heavy element investigations.
Articles Overview: Recent work explores Th-229 nuclear clocks, polonium isotopes, fermium charge radii, and tin/zinc spectroscopy. Key themes involve nuclear structure, deformation studies, and advanced laser techniques.
Grants & Collaborations: Active in CERN's ISOLDE facility and collaborations like JetRIS and RADRIS projects. Supervises research on gold isotopes, mercury decay, and gas-jet laser systems.
Labs/Teams: Leads groups in laser spectroscopy and nuclear structure studies at KU Leuven and CERN. Involves international collaborations on radioactive beam experiments.
