Frederic Maillard is a Research Director at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Head of the EIP group at LEPMI, affiliated with Grenoble Institute of Technology. He teaches electrochemistry and analytical chemistry at Phelma School of Engineering and oversees continuous training in water electrolysis. His research focuses on electrocatalysis, materials science, and energy fuels, particularly degradation mechanisms of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and water electrolyzer (PEMWE) catalysts.
- Education: PhD in Physical Chemistry (2002, University of Poitiers), postdoc at TU München, and accreditation to direct research (2011).
- Professional Memberships: International Society of Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Society, French Society of Chemistry.
Research interests include solid-liquid interface electrocatalysis, oxygen reduction/evolution reactions in acidic/alkaline conditions, and catalyst stability. He co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and holds an h-index of 60 (Scopus).
