Rajan Maurya

Dr. Rajan Maurya is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Green Technology (IGT) within the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), specializing in electrochemistry and energy conversion systems. His work bridges fundamental and applied research in fuel cells, electrolyzers, and redox flow batteries.

• Education: PhD in Electrochemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

His research focuses on electrocatalysis, particularly for oxygen reduction (ORR) and evolution (OER) reactions, with emphasis on catalyst design, durability enhancement, and reaction kinetics. He employs techniques like Eyring analysis, Butler-Volmer modeling, and large-amplitude AC voltammetry to study activation barriers and interfacial processes.

Recent work includes scalable gas diffusion electrodes with Sn²⁺ radical scavengers for PEMFCs (2025), true gas-phase ORR studies at electrolyte/gas interfaces (2025), and nitrogen-doped carbon catalysts for alkaline ORR (2023). Collaborations span Denmark and international institutions, with network activity involving electrode engineering and spectroscopy.
