Dr. Frans Folkvord is an Associate Professor at Tilburg University's Department of Communication and Cognition within the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences. His research focuses on health communication, particularly the impact of digital media and social influencers on health behaviors, with an emphasis on minors' eating habits and body image. He holds a Veni Prize (2019) and contributes to external initiatives like the WHO Technical Working Group and PredictBy. Folkvord's work spans methodologies such as discrete choice experiments, randomized controlled trials, and health technology assessment frameworks like MAFEIP. He actively supervises PhD students and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including the Academic Collaborative Center for Digital Health & Mental Wellbeing.
