Frank J. Williams is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History at Mississippi State University, renowned for his expertise in Abraham Lincoln and Civil War studies. He is also affiliated with Roger Williams University School of Law and the U.S. Naval War College as an Adjunct Professor.
- Honorary Degrees: From Lincoln College, Roger Williams University School of Law, Oklahoma State University, and others.
- Military Service: Bronze Star recipient and decorated Vietnam veteran.
Williams’s research focuses on Lincoln’s legal and political legacy, Civil War history, and historical iconography. His publications include Judging Lincoln (2002), The Emancipation Proclamation: Three Views (2006), and Lincoln Lessons: Reflections on America’s Greatest Leader (2009). He is currently completing an annotated bibliography of Lincoln-related publications for Fordham University Press.
Scientific awards and honors include the Lincoln Diploma of Honor and being named one of America’s 500 leading judges by Lawdragon. He founded The Lincoln Forum and led the Lincoln Legal Papers Project. His career blends legal scholarship, historical research, and public service.
