Frank DeMarco is a Teaching Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Hospitality and Tourism Program in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. Hired in January 2011, he developed the program into a full major by 2014 and teaches hospitality leadership, hotel/restaurant operations, event planning, and tourism management while supervising internships.
His educational background includes:

DeMarco's expertise centers on practical hospitality education, with research interests spanning operational management and industry-academia integration. He co-developed WVU's online hospitality major (2020) to serve working professionals, emphasizing real-world applications in hotel, restaurant, and tourism sectors through experiential learning models.
His awards highlight exceptional contributions:
