Prof. Simone Fortunati is a fixed-term researcher at the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences at the University of Parma. He teaches courses including Advanced Analytical Techniques for Chemical Characterization, Chemical Sensors Based on Advanced and Sustainable Functional Materials, and Smart Sensors for Health and the Environment at both bachelor's and master's levels. His research focuses on electrochemical sensors, sustainable materials, and bioanalytical methods.
Recent publications highlight his work in radical reaction mechanisms, ROS-consuming synzymes, and sensor applications in food chemistry and biomedical diagnostics. He has been a reference teacher for Master's Degree programs in Chemistry since academic year 2020/2021.
