Floris van Swet is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Northumbria University since 2021, part of the UKRI 'Migration, Adaptation, Innovation' project. He holds a PhD in History and East Asian Languages from Harvard University (2019). Prior roles include a postdoc at Yale University's Digital Tokugawa Lab and visiting fellowships at Sophia and Waseda Universities.
