Florian Carl

Prof. Dr. Florian Carl is Professor of Ethnomusicology at Folkwang University of the Arts (Faculty 2). He holds a doctorate from Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover (2007) and previously served as Acting Professor at the University of Cologne (2023-2025). His academic journey includes research in Germany and extended teaching engagements in Ghana.
