Martin Fratz

Martin Fratz is a German conductor and pianist based at Folkwang University of the Arts, where he has served as a Part-Time Lecturer for Playing from Scores and Piano Reductions since 1996. He graduated with distinction from the Cologne University of Music (Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln) and has conducted over 800 performances at Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg, spanning operas like Rigoletto and Aida, operettas, musicals, and ballets such as Der Feuervogel (The Firebird) and Schwanensee (Swan Lake).

• Active internationally in opera houses (Leipzig, Cologne, Bremen, etc.) and festivals (Schlosskonzerte Brühl, Festival of Arts in Shanghai/Beijing)
