Flavia van Cleef

Dr. Flavia van Cleef is an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Agriculture and Bioresources, affiliated with the Plant Sciences and Animal and Poultry Science departments. Her research integrates forage management, ruminant nutrition, and sustainable strategies to optimize livestock production while reducing environmental impacts.

Recent publications highlight her contributions to methane emissions reduction through tannin-rich legumes, nitrous oxide dynamics in integrated farming systems, and water footprint optimization in nitrogen-fertilized pastures. Her methodologies include in vitro assays, stable isotope analysis, and field studies on dung beetle ecology.
