Fiona Phoenix

Fiona Phoenix is the Associate Dean for Portfolio & Partnerships at the School of Sport and Physical Activity, part of the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University. With over 20 years in academia and leadership roles, she has held positions including Deputy Head of the School of Sport and Physical Activity and College Head of Student Recruitment. Her current role involves strategic oversight of academic partnerships across multiple schools. She is a School Governor at UTC Olympic Legacy Park and serves on the Sheffield Health & Wellbeing Board and the Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Health and Care Centre of Excellence Steering Group.

Phoenix holds an MBA and an MSc in Sport Business Management. She has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, focusing on marketing, event management, leadership, and strategic management within the Sport Business domain. Her professional background includes roles in sports marketing, sponsorship, and event management with National Governing Bodies, professional clubs, and global partnerships. She has also managed international recruitment and academic collaborations in Singapore and Hong Kong.
