Fiona Crook is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University (QMU), part of the Dietetics, Nutrition & Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Radiography Division. She qualified from the University of Southampton in 2005 and worked in NHS trusts in London for 9 years, specializing in Oncology and palliative care. She later spent 5 years in the NGO sector, contributing to rehab initiatives in Cambodia, Ukraine, and Iraq, including establishing a Physiotherapy department in a trauma hospital in Cambodia. She holds a Master of Public Health (2020) and focuses on health systems strengthening in low- and middle-income countries. Recently, she supported the UK Emergency Medical Team in opening a new trauma hospital. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and teaches courses in Physiotherapy principles, rehabilitation, and placement coordination.

Research Interests: Standards for Rehabilitation Specialist Care Teams in International Emergency Settings, using Cross-Sectional Analysis methods.
Teaching & Leadership: Coordinates placements and teaches Foundations of Physiotherapy and Principles of Rehabilitation at QMU.
