Fiona Blackhall

Fiona Blackhall is Professor of Thoracic Oncology at the University of Manchester and Director of Research & Innovation at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. A clinical academic, she leads lung cancer research at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre.

Her research program focuses on translational approaches in lung cancer, including circulating tumor biomarkers and clinical trials of novel therapies. She has developed significant expertise in small cell lung cancer and targeted therapies.

Honors include the CRUK Translational Research Prize and Christie Hospital Senior Researcher award. She co-chairs the European Thoracic Oncology Platform's translational subgroup.
