Finn Jensen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aarhus University. His research focuses on renewable energy systems, control systems, and sustainable engineering, with a particular emphasis on DC microgrids and sensorless motor drives. He is actively involved in curriculum development for sustainable electrical engineering education and holds patents related to rotor and centrifugal pump technologies.
He serves on several committees, including CENELEC, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and Dansk Standard S502, contributing to electrotechnical standardization. His recent work includes studies on nonlinear Kalman filters for motor control, renewable energy supply for remote Greenland facilities, and magnetic modeling of permanent-magnet machines.
Jensen has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in journals like IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications and collaborates on patents addressing practical engineering challenges. His research bridges theoretical advancements with real-world applications in sustainable power systems and motor design.
