Filippo Ferrari is a Senior Researcher (fixed-term) in the Department of the Arts at the University of Bologna. He specialises in Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Logic, and Epistemology, with expertise in Philosophy of Science, Metaethics, and Aesthetics. His current role involves leading the PRIN PNRR project on 'Understanding Scientific Disagreement' and coordinating international networks like BoBoPa and Euphilo.
Education: PhD in Philosophy from the University of Aberdeen (2014), Master's in Philosophical Sciences (2009), and a Philosophy degree with Honors from the University of Bologna (2007).
Research focuses on truth pluralism, logical normativity, epistemic filters, and post-truth dynamics. Recent work explores the normativity of logic, agnosticism in mathematics, and misinformation's impact. He has authored two books and edited volumes for Oxford University Press and Routledge.
Grants include the STARS@UniPd grant (€110,000) managing the 'Amplog' project. He has held post-doctoral roles at Aberdeen, Bonn, and Padova, and is an active member of international research consortia such as Cogito and The Virtual International Consortium for Truth Research.
