Filip Czernicki

Dr. Filip Czernicki is an Assistant Professor at SWPS University, affiliated with the Faculty of Law in Warsaw and the Department of Public and International Law. A legal advisor and attorney at law, he specializes in aviation law, corporate law, and business administration. His research focuses on access to law, pro bono initiatives, legal education reforms, and the development of student legal clinics across Poland and Eastern Europe.

• Graduate of the University of Warsaw and University of Bonn’s School of German Law
• Doctorate in Criminal Law (University of Warsaw, 2016)

He founded Warsaw’s Legal Aid Center at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers (OIRP), co-founded Poland’s second law clinic at the University of Warsaw, and directs SWPS University’s "Summer School on the Rule of Law" (2022). Awards include the 2012 European Pro Bono Award, Gold Cross of Merit (2013), and the Minister of Justice’s Medal (2010). He also serves as Head of the Center for Constitutionalism and Legal Culture at the Institute of Public Affairs (since 2023).
