Feroz Mehmood Shah is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oslo (UiO), affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas. His academic roles include membership in the Practical Philosophy Group and involvement in the research project 'The Kantian Foundations of Democracy (KanDem)'.
Shah holds a Ph.D. from UiO (2018) titled *Sapere Aude! The Judgement View of Kant's Theory of Conscience*. His research focuses on ethics, political philosophy, and the history of philosophy, with a specialization in Immanuel Kant, conscience, moral development, education, German Idealism, phenomenology, and republican theory. He has held previous academic positions at the University of South-Eastern Norway, NTNU, and Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, alongside research stays at Johns Hopkins University and Heidelberg University.
His recent publication *Conscience as One of the “Aesthetical Preliminary Concepts”* (2022) explores Kantian philosophy and its intersections with aesthetics and moral judgment.
