Femke Dekker is a Professional Practice Lecturer at the Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design department of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague. She also teaches at the Sandberg Instituut Amsterdam and Design Academy Eindhoven, and holds artistic research fellow status with the Visual Methodologies Collective in Amsterdam.
Her practice merges sound experimentation with pedagogy, focusing on sound as an agent for creation. Under the moniker Loma Doom, she explores electronic experimentalism, psychedelic and punk influences, and archival radio practices. Current research emphasizes listening as an actionable practice, informed by residencies at Stranded FM (Daydream Nation), Radio Tempo Não Pára (Helter Skelter), and Echobox (Left of the Dial).
