Dr. Femi Waters-Ajisafe serves as Principal Lecturer (Marketing & Recruitment) at Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS) within the Department of Marketing & Digital Innovation, Sustainability & Specialist Industry. With over 17 years of higher education experience, she leads marketing strategy and recruitment initiatives while accepting PhD students for supervision.
Her teaching expertise centers on strategic marketing through practice-based pedagogy, including innovative experiential modules like the Teesside Marketing Clinic and Student Freelancers program. These initiatives provide direct consultancy experiences to develop entrepreneurial competencies and reflective learning among students.
Research focuses on the intersection of consumer behaviour and marketing, specifically examining student experiences within competing normativities using Dooyeweerd Philosophy. Key themes include university choice factors, justice in educational access, non-belonging phenomena, and duoethnographic approaches to educator development.
