Dr. Felix Ayanbode is a Teaching Assistant Professor at the Department of Modern Languages, Kansas State University, specializing in German and French language education with a focus on inclusivity and critical thinking. He holds a PhD in German (2025) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an M.A. in Foreign Languages (French & German, 2017) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a B.A. in European Studies (German, 2012) from the University of Ibadan.
Dr. Ayanbode’s research explores intersections of race, identity, migration, and memory in postwar European cultural contexts. His scholarship analyzes marginalized narratives, particularly biracial occupation children in German literature, film, and media, contributing to transnational memory discourse. His publications include comparative studies on Uwe Timm’s Morenga and Hans Massaquoi’s Destined to Witness.
