Dr. Felipe Romero-Moreno is a Senior Lecturer and Research Degrees Leader at the University of Hertfordshire's Schools of Law and Education, specializing in IT/IP law and human rights. He leads the British and Irish Law Education and Technology Association (BILETA) Executive Committee. His research focuses on generative AI's ethical implications, privacy, data protection, and human rights within digital ecosystems. He holds a PhD, an LLM in IT/IP, and an LLM in International Trade from Oxford Brookes University, alongside a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Key projects include the SWAG initiative (2023-2027), exploring wearable assistive technologies, and a 2016 collaboration on human rights and intellectual property law. Romero-Moreno advises UK/EU policymakers, contributing to laws on AI, copyright, and digital governance. His consultancy work influences UK Parliament, IPO, and EU institutions.
