Gaetano Dimita

Dr. Gaetano Dimita is a Reader (Professor) in Interactive Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law at Queen Mary University of London's Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). He specializes in video game law, esports, and digital content regulation, with a focus on copyright, licensing, and global IP frameworks. His academic roles include teaching courses like Interactive Entertainment Law and supervising PhD students researching topics such as non-literal copying in games and fanworks.

Dr. Dimita holds a Diploma di Laurea in Giurisprudenza (Rome), LLM (London), and PhD (London), and is admitted to the Italian Bar. He founded the Interactive Entertainment Law Review and organizes the More Than Just a Game conference series. He serves on boards of organizations like the National Video Game Museum and BLACA (British Literary and Artistic Copyright Association).
