Felicity Turton is a PhD Candidate and Researcher at Queen Mary University of London’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) and the School of Law. She is affiliated with the Cloud Legal Project and Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre, focusing on legal aspects of cloud computing, data protection, and standard contracts. Her PhD research examines market definition in 'new economy' sectors under competition law. Previously, she worked as a Privacy Analyst at OneTrust DataGuidance.
Education: LLB, LLM, PhD Candidate (CCLS, Queen Mary University of London).
Research Interests: Her work bridges competition law and digital markets, addressing challenges in defining markets for personal data and cloud computing services. She explores EU legal frameworks and regulatory approaches to data governance in emerging sectors. Felicity is also affiliated with the Ostrom Workshop on Data Management at Indiana University Bloomington.
Professional Memberships: Member of the Human Rights Lawyers Association and International Association of Privacy Professionals.
