Felice F. Borisy-Rudin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), concurrently serving as a Policy Analyst for the Wisconsin Alcohol Policy Project (WisAPP) within the Comprehensive Injury Center. She holds a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a PhD in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, alongside a BS in Biology from the California Institute of Technology.
Her research focuses on legal epidemiology, analyzing how local alcohol policies shape Wisconsin’s alcohol environment and its health impacts. Key areas include alcohol policy design, prevention of excessive consumption, and intersections with substance use prevention frameworks. She also engages in community health initiatives and technical assistance for evidence-based prevention strategies.
Key publications span legal and public health policy analyses, alcohol outlet geospatial studies, and earlier neuroscience work on olfaction, appetite regulation, and cellular signaling. Awards include the National Merit Scholarship and recognition in legal academia through her role as Managing Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review.
Borisy-Rudin has held roles as an attorney, municipal judge, village trustee, and adjunct law professor. Her multidisciplinary background bridges legal practice, public health research, and scientific investigation, contributing to both clinical and policy-oriented scholarship.
