Constance Kostelac

Constance Kostelac, PhD, MS, is an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) within the Institute for Health & Humanity, Division of Epidemiology & Social Sciences. She also serves as Director of the Division of Data Surveillance and Informatics at the Comprehensive Injury Center (CIC). Her roles include leading the Milwaukee Homicide Review Commission and managing DataShare, an integrated data system in Milwaukee.

Dr. Kostelac specializes in violence and overdose prevention, evaluating the impact of excessive alcohol use on health outcomes, and advancing community engagement for health equity. Her work integrates mixed-methods research, GIS/spatial analysis, and跨-sector data sharing to inform policy and practice. With over 20 years of experience, she bridges public health and public safety domains. Previously, she served as Research Director for the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
