Federico M. Antoni is a French-Mexican venture capitalist and Lecturer in Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). He is the managing partner of Hi Ventures, a Mexico City-based venture capital fund focusing on FinTech and the Future of Commerce. Since founding Hi Ventures in 2012, he has been a key figure in Latin America’s venture capital industry, launching accelerators like Venture Institute and pioneering investment in startups such as Cornershop (acquired by Uber in 2021).
Education: BSc and MSc in Applied Economics from Paris Dauphine University (1997), MBA from Stanford GSB (2004). Former roles include CEO of Edoardos (Mexican retail), CMO of B2W Mexico, and product management at L’Oréal. His teaching spans entrepreneurship courses at ITAM (2008) and Stanford GSB’s 'Riding the Next Wave in Developing Economies' since 2018.
Research focuses on venture capital strategies, emerging market ecosystems, and scaling high-potential ventures. Published case studies include analyses of fintech innovations, global deep technology startups, and business model replication in developing economies. Active in mentorship through Kauffman Fellows and writes for TechCrunch and his personal blog.
Notable contributions include co-founding Fondeadora (Latin America’s first major crowdfunding platform) and leveraging his accelerator initiatives to attract global investment competition. Advocates for equitable funding access in Latin America and explores digital technologies’ socio-economic impacts in developing regions.
