Dr. Federico Botana is a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in medieval and Renaissance art history, with a focus on manuscripts and visual pedagogy. He holds a PhD from the Courtauld Institute of Art (2012), which formed the basis of his seminal book on medieval Italian mercy iconography. His research explores manuscripts as educational tools, particularly in Renaissance Tuscany.
