Dr. Faizul Haque is an Associate Professor and Head of Research in the Department of Accounting at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. He leads the Centre for Research in Accounting, Accountability and Governance (CRAAG). His work focuses on carbon accounting, ESG disclosure, corporate governance, and implications of emerging technologies like blockchain. Recognized in Stanford's Top 2% Global Scientists (2023), he advises SMEs and charities on GRI-certified sustainability reports and collaborates with policymakers (e.g., BEIS, ISSB).
Education includes a PhD from the University of Manchester, MBA from Strathclyde Business School, and PGCAP from Heriot-Watt University. He holds Fellow status of the UK Higher Education Academy and is GRI-certified. Prior roles include Associate Professor at Edinburgh Business School and leadership roles in academic administration, curriculum design, and international collaborations.
