Dr. Faith Orchard is a Lecturer in Psychology (Mental Health Practice) at the University of Sussex, School of Education and Social Work. She holds expertise in adolescent mental health, particularly focusing on depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and self-perception. Her work bridges clinical psychology and public health, with a strong emphasis on school-based interventions and early mental health prevention.

Research Interests:
Dr. Orchard investigates causal and maintaining factors of adolescent anxiety and depression, including cognitive biases, sleep patterns, and self-perception. Key areas include:

- Self-perception as a treatment target

Co-leads a Research Clinic evaluating school-based mental health support teams (MHSTs) and improving low-intensity interventions in collaboration with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
