Eynat Gutman is an Assistant Professor of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at the University of Delaware's College of Arts & Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. She specializes in Hebrew language education, Israeli cinema, and comparative linguistics. Dr. Gutman holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Delaware, and a B.A. in English and Special Education from the University of Haifa, Israel.
Her research explores Israeli film as a reflection of societal dynamics, including Holocaust representation, Mizrahi identity, and generational narratives. She has presented at international conferences such as the Association for Israel Studies (AIS) and participated in professional development programs at Brandeis University and in Israel.
Teaching responsibilities include Hebrew language courses (elementary to advanced), Israeli culture seminars, and interdisciplinary courses like 'Israeli Film: Reflecting Dramatic Change' and 'Innovation Nation: Israel as a Hub for Entrepreneurs.' She serves as Hebrew language placement advisor and transfer credit officer, and holds committee roles in Jewish Studies and Foreign Language Undergraduate Programs.
