Eve Spangler is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Boston College. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research focuses on inequality, classical sociological theory, health and human rights in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and workplace safety in global economies. She teaches courses including 'Making History in a Changing World,' 'Inequality in America,' and 'Human Rights and Social Justice in Israel & Palestine.'
Spangler's work bridges public sociology and activism, emphasizing social justice through scholarly analysis. Notable contributions include her 2015 book Understanding Israel/Palestine: Race, Nation, and Human Rights in the Conflict, examining the intersections of race, nationalism, and human rights.
