Eve Hanan is a Professor of Law at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Director of the Misdemeanor Clinic. She teaches Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law, drawing on extensive litigation experience from her work as a public defender. Her research integrates social science insights into criminal justice, focusing on restorative justice, implicit bias in sentencing, and public defender services. She also explores creative arts therapy applications in gender studies, particularly dance/movement therapy for transgender adults. Hanan has published widely and presented at major legal conferences, including the Association of American Law Schools. Her work critiques emotional biases in legal systems and advocates for structural reforms.
