Dr. Eva Maschke is a Research Fellow affiliated with the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures, specializing in medieval manuscript culture and chant communities. Her research examines polyphonic music fragments from the Notre Dame repertory, with particular focus on organizational structures of musical knowledge transmission.
As a Petra Kappert Fellow (2020), she investigated Organum and Conductus fragments through case studies that reexamine the Notre-Dame repertoire. Her work bridges historical musicology, material culture studies, and paleographic analysis of musical manuscripts from 12th-13th century Europe.
