Eun Young Lee is an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Communication at Central Washington University. She holds a PhD from Bowling Green State University and specializes in rhetorical studies and critical intercultural communication. Her research explores the rhetoricity of place, cultural representations in media/popular culture, globalization politics, and critical pedagogy.
Professional Affiliations: Active member of the National Communication Association (NCA) and Central States Communication Association (CSCA). Served on NCA's IICD Executive Board and chaired CSCA's Intercultural Communication Interest Group.
Award: 2016 Outstanding Dissertation Award for 'The Rhetorical Landscape of Itaewon: Negotiating New Transcultural Identities in South Korea.'
Teaching Philosophy: Employs critical pedagogy to foster critical thinking in classrooms. Office: Lind Hall 109B.
