معرفی
Eugene G. Mueller is the Charles L. Bloch Professor of Chemistry at the University of Louisville. His research focuses on mechanistic enzymology, particularly tRNA modification and sulfur transfer mechanisms. He leads the Mueller Research Group, which investigates enzymatic catalysis and bioorganic mechanisms.
Education: B.S. from University of Illinois–Urbana (1987), Ph.D. from Harvard University (1992).
Research Interests: Biochemistry, Enzymology, RNA modification pathways, sulfur transfer in biosynthesis, and mechanistic enzymatic processes. His work combines structural biology, biochemistry, and chemical biology approaches.
Recent publications (2006) highlight studies on pseudouridine synthase RluA, persulfide intermediates in 4-thiouridine biosynthesis, and sulfur trafficking mechanisms. These contributions advance understanding of enzymatic catalysis and RNA modification.
Labs/Teams: The Mueller Research Group operates in the Belknap Research Building, with postdoctoral positions available. Contact details include 346 Belknap Research Building, Louisville, KY and phone (502) 852-5811.
