Eszter Kollar is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Philosophy (KU Leuven). Her work focuses on the intersection of political philosophy, ethics, and migration studies, particularly addressing issues of global justice, colonial legacies, and socio-economic rights.
- Current projects include Fairness in Labour Migration (2023-2024), exploring radical egalitarian ownership of skills
- Lead promotor for The Colonial Legacies of the Right to Exclude (2023-2028)
- Developing frameworks for Political Rights Beyond Citizenship (2019-2025)
Her recent publications examine:
- Citizenship ethics and racialized labor hierarchies
- Voluntariness in immigration policy
- Conditional rights for asylum seekers
- Colonial legacies in migration theories
- Global labor justice frameworks
Kollar contributes to European Union law critique, particularly regarding the "Dark Side" of the Rule of Law (2018-2024), and teaches courses on Ethics of Globalisation and Political Philosophy.
