Ali Emre Benli

Dr. Ali Emre Benli is an Associate Researcher at the Center for Ethics, Politics, and Society, University of Minho. He has held research positions at the University of Rijeka, the Italian National Research Council, Durham University, the University of Louvain, and the University of Edinburgh, and served as a Visiting Lecturer at Bogazici University.

His educational background includes:

His research specializes in Political Theory with concentrated focus on Refugee Rights and Citizenship Rights within the European Union context, examining ethical frameworks for immigration and democratic ideals. He co-edited the influential volume "Claiming Citizenship Rights in Europe" (Routledge, 2018) and completed the research project "The political rights of refugees and asylum-seekers in the EU".
