She holds a joint appointment in the School of Medicine and leads the Neuroradiology Quantitative Image Processing Center. Her expertise includes Neuroradiology, head/neck/spine imaging (CT/MRI), and traumatic brain injury (TBI) research. Dr. Yuh is Editor-in-Chief of AI in Neuroscience, a journal focusing on AI applications in clinical and cellular neuroscience.
Education:
- MD from Stanford University School of Medicine (2002)
- Radiology Residency and Neuroradiology Fellowship at UCSF (2007–2009)
- Undergraduate at Harvard University
Research Focus: Dr. Yuh's work centers on TBI pathophysiology, neuroimaging biomarkers, and AI-enhanced diagnostic tools. She co-leads the NIH-NINDS TBI Classification Initiative and is Principal Investigator of a Department of Defense-funded study on TBI biomarker-disease relationships. Her lab develops machine learning models for TBI prognosis and image analysis.
Awards:
- 2025: NIH-NINDS TBI Classification Initiative Lead
- 2014: GE-NFL Head Health Challenge
- 2012: Magna Cum Laude Award (Radiological Society of North America)
- 2009: UCSF Department of Radiology's Outstanding Teaching Fellow
Grants & Collaborations: Active funding includes a DoD grant (2025–2029) studying TBI biomarker-disease relationships. She collaborates with TRACK-TBI and CENTER-TBI consortia to advance TBI classification and outcome prediction.
Labs/Teams: Director of the Neuroradiology Quantitative Image Processing Center, integrating AI into neuroimaging workflows for improved diagnostic accuracy.
