Esther Llop Escorihuela

Esther Llop Escorihuela is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Girona (UdG), where she has worked since 2016. She co-leads the Cancer Biochemistry Research Group and focuses on altered glycosylation in cancer for biomarker discovery, particularly in

Her research explores glycoprotein biomarkers, sialyltransferase inhibition, and epigenetic regulation of glycosylation. She uses techniques like mass spectrometry, chromatography, and electrophoresis to identify tumor-associated carbohydrate antigens and develop targeted therapies.
