Esin Turkaslan is an Associate Professor and Programme Lead at Buckinghamshire New University (since 2023), serving as Course Leader for the MSc Physician Associate Studies program. Previously, she held roles as Senior Lecturer at the University of East London and St. George's University of London, and worked as an MSc ACP MSK Pathway Lead at St. George's. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Physiotherapy with Prof Jo Jackson at the University of Essex.
Education includes a Biomedical Science degree from Anglia Ruskin University and advanced physiotherapy training at St. George's University of London. Her expertise spans musculoskeletal rehabilitation, chronic pain management, cancer rehabilitation, and ergonomic workplace assessment. She holds credentials as an Independent Prescriber and is affiliated with HCPC, MCSP, AACP, and ACPOMIT.
Professional experience includes roles as an Extended Scope Practitioner in MSK CATS services, Ward Manager in Trauma & Orthopaedics, and Manual Handling adviser at NHS trusts. She contributed to Macmillan Cancer Support's rehabilitation initiatives and co-developed the ACP MSK Pathway with Prof Ian Beith and the Health Education England team.
