Agnieszka Lewko

Agnieszka Lewko is an Assistant Professor (Research) specializing in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and respiratory care. She holds honorary appointments at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and Kingston University. Her research focuses on COPD management, personalized pulmonary rehabilitation, exercise strategies for respiratory patients, and long-term ambulatory oxygen therapy. She chairs the editorial board of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Respiratory Care (ACPRC) and contributed to the HERMES project to standardize European respiratory physiotherapy education.

Education: BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy (Kraków, Poland), PhD in Health Science (St. George's University of London, 2013). She has clinical expertise across Poland, Belgium, and the UK, including prescriber qualifications.

Research Interests: Chronic respiratory disease management, patient-centered rehabilitation strategies, and healthcare policy implementation. Her recent work explores criteria-led discharge protocols and remote pulmonary rehabilitation services.

Key Awards: Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Recognition Award (2024). She actively collaborates with international teams on projects like Ukraine war trauma rehabilitation and refugee nurse recruitment programs.

Advising: Accepting PhD students. Her activities include organizing workshops on ICU physiotherapy in Ukraine and hosting academic exchanges.
