Erin Schauster is an Associate Professor in the Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Design at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research focuses on the moral psychology of media practitioners and college students, exploring ethical and educational implications of strategic communications practices and organizational influences on these practices.
She teaches undergraduate courses examining brand strategy and ethical practices in strategic communication, as well as graduate seminars in mass communication theory and qualitative research methods. Her scholarly work has been published in journals such as American Behavioral Scientist, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Media Ethics.
Prior to joining CU Boulder, Schauster worked as an account executive at advertising agencies in St. Louis and Nashville. She holds a PhD from the University of Missouri.
