Lynch’s research focuses on using poetry to interrogate archives of violence, particularly in the context of Indigenous histories. Her dissertation, Felt Encounters: Writing With a Dakota Family Archive, explores this intersection under the guidance of her advisor, Susan McCabe. Her debut poetry collection, Removal Acts, draws inspiration from the 1863 Federal Act banning the Dakota people from their homelands, addressing themes of colonialism, state-sanctioned violence, and resilience.
She has participated in numerous literary events across the U.S., including readings and conversations at venues such as the North Figueroa Bookshop, Portland Book Festival, and Miami Book Fair. These events often highlight her work alongside other poets grappling with historical trauma and identity.
