Erin Dimaggio

Erin Dimaggio serves as an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Geosciences within the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University.

Her research focuses on geological sciences with specific expertise in:

• Stratigraphy - the study of rock layers and sedimentary sequences
• Extensional sedimentary basins - geological formations resulting from crustal extension
• Tephrochronology - dating and correlating sedimentary deposits using volcanic ash layers
